About Suzan - short bio
Suzan is a woman of vibrant energy and passion for helping women 50+ tap into their own innate wisdom. She is certified as an Expressive Arts Coach/Facilitator and Life and Wellness Coach. Suzan has been developing and leading well-being playshops for women since 2001. Her signature playshop is "Listen, Learn and Love Your Body" where participants learn to listen to their body's wisdom. She advocates that when we're willing to listen and respond to what we hear - we can improve our lives, perhaps even heal ourselves.Suzan's remarkable healing journey from significant traumas shows us it is possible to move beyond the past and thrive. Having spent her younger years out of her body during traumas, she realized it was vital to learn how to stay in her body. The most powerful healing modality she discovered has been the expressive arts which she now shares readily with her clients. There is no need to be an artist - just a willingness to be open and have fun.Suzan is also the author of Women at P.L.A.Y! (Peace, Love, and Acceptance of Yourself after 40), to help women learn to put themselves first. She considers herself a life adventurer having been married at the top of Mount Whitney (14,495 feet) in her 40s, traveled to over 60 countries (sometimes solo), and has been pursuing her passion for acting and speaking (performance) after age 50. One of her philosophies is, “It’s never too late to be what we might have been.” George Eliot

Happiness After Depression with Sarah Hinckley
In this powerful episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Sarah Hinckley, a life coach who specializes in helping spiritual-seeking women find joy and ease in their daily lives. Sarah bravely shares her personal journey of overcoming depression, hitting rock bottom, and ultimately finding hope and healing. She emphasizes the importance of holding onto hope, even when it seems impossible and offers encouragement to those currently struggling with depression.
Listen in as Sarah discusses her unique balloon theory, which provides a helpful analogy for processing and releasing intense emotions. We also delve into the concept of forgiveness, how it's not about letting someone off the hook but rather an act of self-care and freedom. Sarah highlights the importance of embracing fun and freedom as core values in life and debunks the misconception of time as a human construct.
Finally, Sarah shares her insights on love and relationships and how her 3F Formula—Fun, Freedom, and Forgiveness—has shaped her approach to them. This episode is filled with wisdom, vulnerability, and inspiration, so don't miss out on listening to Sarah's incredible story of transformation and healing.
Co-author of the RISING AFTER ABUSE anthology, Sarah's story is found in chapter #3
About Sarah Hinckley
A lover of life, and self-proclaimed joyologist, Sarah Hinckley is a transformational life coach for spiritual-seeking women.
Sarah draws from her experience of over two decades of studying and implementing self-improvement and personal development techniques leveraging her growth mindset that allowed her to discover happiness after depression.

Helping spiritual-seeking women experience greater joy and ease in their daily lives without abandoning responsibilities is one of her favorite topics.
She also loves talking about how to tap into our higher self and use it as a compass for guidance, support, and inspiration.

About Dee
Dee Dhillon was born and raised in the UK. Unbeknownst to her, she grew up in a household where she was dealing with narcissistic abuse and codependency, nurturing from a very young age the belief that she was not enough and that she deserved to be treated without any respect, let alone self-love, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
She went on to her first marriage which was a reproduction of her original household that she held onto for a number of years, giving birth to two daughters in the process. She mustered the courage to break free and moved out to what she thought would be a good and happy life without domestic abuse.
A few years later, she started the same kind of relationship all over again with her second husband for an additional 4 years, until she realized that she really had to work on herself, on healing her inner wounds and understanding the dynamics of her life experience that kept on coming back.
She learned all that she could about narcissism, codependency, mental health, family dynamics and so much more. She became a certified life coach who now facilitates women’s recovery from domestic abuse so that they can finally live a happy life on their own terms.
